Home Additions & Second-Story Expansions
When a Bay Area homeowner set out to add a full second floor and connect it seamlessly to their existing top level, they came to us after interviewing several contractors, and stuck with us through a year and a half of permits, inspections, and city certification in San Francisco. That's the kind of project we're built for: additions that require real coordination with the city, not just carpentry.
A second-story or first-floor addition touches nearly every trade on the job. On that project alone we cut new skylights, poured a new concrete slab with radiant floor heating, tiled a bathroom and wet bar, and finished the space with detailed crown molding, delivering a full office and bedroom suite complete with its own closet, laundry room, storage, and an entertainment and lounge area.
We run additions with a dedicated foreman on-site every day, starting on time and documenting every change order with signatures so there's no ambiguity about scope or cost. When homeowners want to expand the project mid-build, adding a garage drain, extending the slab into the backyard for a stamped concrete patio, or adding a backyard shed, we fold it into the plan and keep moving.
